Diana will be presenting her foundational Patchwork Sashiko Method to celebrate her new book, “Patchwork Sashiko: Transform Your Scraps” from C&T Publishing. You’ll learn the how and why of creating the haphazard yet reproducible style and stability of these beautiful textiles. Give all your fabric scraps new life with a focus on sustainability and mindful making. This class is also an optional precursor to the 5 Panel Hat Workshop on Saturday, February 14. The textile you create in class can be used directly for the front panel of the hat! The textile will not be finished during class, but you will learn everything you need to know to finish at a later time. Those using the textile for the 5 Panel Hat Workshop may opt to make a smaller textile (see supply list). Join us for a transformative class that will reveal new possibilities for your fabric stash.
Diana will have a sashiko kit available for $20 in a variety of colorways—perfect if you'd like to dive in with a curated palette.
