By taking both classes and you’ll learn the how and why of creating the haphazard yet reproducible style and stability of these beautiful textiles.
The Patchwork Sashiko class is a perfect precursor to the 5 Panel Hat Workshop on Saturday, February 14. The textile you create in class can be used directly for the front panel of the hat!
The textile will not be finished during class, but you will learn everything you need to know to finish at a later time. Those using the textile for the 5 Panel Hat Workshop may opt to make a smaller textile (see supply list).The 5-panel hat project is fat quarter-friendly and no special tools are required. You’ll also learn an ingenious trick to sewing on trim to cover flat seams that you’ll want to use in all your projects.
