This hands-on workshop focuses on essential hand sewing techniques every sewist should know for everyday repairs and emergencies. Students will learn basic hand stitching methods including backstitch, basting, catch stitch and hemming stitches. The class will also cover common fasteners such as sewing on buttons, attaching hooks and eyes and snaps. Time is built into the session for students to practice each technique by creating stitched samples they can keep for reference. This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to build confidence in practical, everyday sewing skills.
