Larry Delceg-Service Department Manager
Larry Delceg is your Master Technician operating the Service Department at the Bernina Connection. His father Ron owned and operated a popular sewing store in Bellingham Washington for 48 years, and started training Larry when he was in seventh grade. Larry now has over 35 years of experience and has received factory training from Bernina and several other major manufacturers. No matter what brand or model of machine you have, he will know it's intricate nuances because he has most likely serviced many like it in the past.
Karen Delceg-Serger Technician
Karen Delceg has served as the serger tech at the Bernina Connection for 10 years. Her mother taught her sewing at age 12 and it has been a passion ever since. While living in Bellingham, Washington, Karen managed her father-in-law's successful sewing store for 18 years before moving to Phoenix. She has received factory training on various brands and has a total of over 25 years experience servicing sergers. Having taught a wide variety of sewing and serger classes, Karen's perspective is not just technical - she understands sewing from your perspective. Karen takes joy in fine tuning your serger so that you can achieve excellence in your sewing projects.
Richard Miller-Machine Technician
Richard is our newest machine technician. He began sewing at age 8 on his mothers BERNINA 910. He also has an extensive background in mechanical operations and precision production. He began operating as a materials tester in the automotive industry in the Detroit, Michigan area. He then became an individual parts inspector for aviation manufacturing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has since been working with Larry Delceg to bring his sewing experience and attention to detail to the repair of sewing machines. He has attended training at Bernina of America in Chicago for the 7 and 8 series machines. He also attended training at Bernina University for repairs on Competive Brands, the Artista line, Bernett's new line, Q-series machines and the upcoming 500, 535, 570 and 590 Bernina machines.
